General Familiarization Course is designed for aircraft maintenance professionals who need general information about the aircraft. Typical participant works in CAMO, engineering, fleet management or aircraft inspection duties. Course covers aircraft structure, systems, engine and includes an overview how the airplane must be maintained and operated. Course duration is four days. First day is an introduction module discussing about general maintenance, servicing and type particular standard practices including zonal and station identification systems. Second and third days cover airframe structures and mechanical, electromechanical, electrical and avionics systems. Fourth day covers General Electric GE CF34 turbine engine and Hamilton Sundstrand APU. Course doesn't include exams and a certificate of attendance is granted to all the students.
