Resource UAS offers a full range of UAS courses from a broad range of Foundation courses to Live flying courses on a wide range of platforms. Each course can be tailored to suit customer requirements
and specific UAS platforms. Delivery is by a combination of web-based and classroom based ground school and practical training using a combination of an advanced mission simulator and live flying using representative vehicles.
UAS Live Flying Training (Class 1) Fixed Wing
The Class 1 UAS Live Flying Course aims to qualify students asUAS-pilot/UAS-commander operators, with the practical skills necessary to enable them to conduct Live Flying Practices safely in an Air Traffic environment. Live Flying will be conducted using the UAS platform.
This course is designed to qualify the student as a UAS-pilots/UAS-commander using a class 1 UAS Fixed Wing platform. The course comprises of one (1) week of theory and practical, the theory focusing on student fundamental refresher training, Healthand Safety involved with operating a UAS platform and the characteristics of the UAS platform being used.
The practical of a minimum of 20 sessions (including night operations) will be conducting Live Flying Practices learning to Deploy/Dismantle the GCS and UA for operations, Launch and Recovery drills, Meteorology interpretation, Radio Telephony, Mission Planning, Mission execution, piloting the UAS.
